Artist
Tatiana Rugers specializes in Murals and Trompe l'Oeil
painting and it
is her true passion and love .
She was born and grew up in Moscow Russia where she graduated
Moscow University with Master’s degree
in computer science. She first realized she had passion for art
during her grade school and college where took a lot of art classes.
Tatiana Rugers had successful career
as computer programmer. She moved to United States, where she
became a citizen, over 14 years ago and her love of art was
rekindled. She soon left computer business and followed her heart
into the field of art.
She works mainly in large scale
life size projects. It gives her a lot of joy to see viewers being
tricked and delighted by Trompe l’Oeil effect illusions - many of
them would take a double look and very often touch her painting to
make sure that it’s not dimensional.
Tatiana Rugers
is constantly working on
improving her knowledge and skills studying
techniques of
great masters of the past and
contemporary artists, reading art books and
publications, traveling
and visiting museums. She studied under world-renowned artists:
Pascal Amblard, Pierre
Finkelstein, Nicola Vigini, Sean Crosby, George Zaffle,William
Cochran and
many other
leading artists in the industry in Europe, Russia and United States.
Among other sources for
her aspirations are conventions, shows and meeting with
decorative
art professionals like SALI, MOTM,
Salon and FGP.
It is
important to Tatiana Rugers to really understand and integrate views
and diverse cultural
backgrounds
of her clients into her work. Tatiana Rugers believes that art can
bring people
together
as it is a
beautiful and powerful form of communication.
She is comfortable
with many media but very often prefers to work with acrylics
especially when working at clients residences.
One of her
favorite stories:
One of
Tatiana Rugers murals was installed at the lobby at
Prescription Weight Loss Clinic, Bellaire Bluffs, Florida.
One day a
woman with daughter came to that clinic. Little girl looked at the
mural, went straight to the painted sea gull and kissed it.
